DAY CAMPS 2008

Motion Mania Dance Center will be holding Summer Day Camps during June, July, and August of 2008: Half Day 9 am-12:15 pm and Full Day 9 am-3 pm. Motion Mania is a studio where you are challenged and engaged in a positive way to be your very best. All full and half day campers will need to bring a bagged lunch. No camper may leave the studio to buy a drink or lunch. Motion Mania Day Camps will have before care, 8-9am for full and half day campers for an extra $7.00 fee per hour. Please note on the registration form if your camper needs before care.

Pom Camp June 23rd - June 27th AND/OR June 30th - July 4th * no camp on July 4th.

Ages for both weeks 8 - 15 years * campers will be divided by age and level.

Week 1: $265 ($251 if registered by March 24th) per week for full day/ $145 ($137 if registered by March 24th)
per week for half day.

Week 2: $217 ($206 if registered by March 24th) per week for full day/ $121 ($115 if registered by March 24th) per
week for half day.

Want to know if you have what it takes to be a Pom? Motion Mania Dance Center's Pom Camp will teach you all the skills you will need, such as: Russians, kicks, marching, facials expressions, jumps, leaps, lyrical, Big Pom, Dance Pom and much more. Campers will get a taste of what it is like being on a Pom squad. The last day of camp there will be a performance for parents and friends. Giavanna Wright, alumni of the Magruder Pom Squad and holds a BFA in dance from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, will be your coach for the week!

Dress Code:
* Jazz or Capri pant, Leggings. NO SOFFE SHORTS!!
* Fitted T-Shirt, or Tank Top
* Hair pulled back, out of the face
* Jazz sneakers or regular sneakers (clean on the bottom)

Hip-Hop Camp July 7th-11th AND/OR August 4th-8th

Ages for both weeks 7-14 years *campers will be divided by age and level

Price: Week 1: $255 ($243 if registered by March 24th) per week for Full Day.
$135 ($129 if registered by March 24th ) per week for Half Day.

Let our Jazz/Hip-Hop Camp open you up to what's "out there" now! We bring the beat of the New York dance scene to you. Our guest faculty will bring you new Hip-Hop and Jazz styles, choreography, auditioning tips, and more! Teachers may include Kesha Johnson and other guest.

Was your summer full of fun, but maybe not a lot of dance?? Then this camp is for you! It's been designed for students who wish to audition for the Motion Mania Youth Companies or just get back into shape before the fall semester. Disciplines included in this camp are Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, Tap, and Ballet. Teachers may include Kesha Johnson, Antoine Ashley, and more.
